At the beginning, you can choose one of the 3 characters to play with. Ven, Terra and Aqua. Each character has a different role on each world and they will have different final bosses. Which means, you will need to play with all of them to get the whole storyline.
The director of the game suggests that you play in this order Terra>Ven>Aqua since the story was written in this order.

I didn’t find much. Just some cutscenes from the beginning but the rest is all japanese which I don’t really understand.

If you were talking about coded, that is.
For Final Mix I found some stuff like the additional reports and cutscenes so even though I can’t play them myself I think I do get most of the important stuff.
Gonna check it all out once I replayed all the KH games again.

Maybe you turned the annotation off.

How is Days not a ‘real deal’ it revealed a lot of the story.
